How to clear error, "Replace Toner"
Linux
Download and install the Brother Linux drivers. Useful hints are here. In particular:
- Create the /var/spool/lpd (group owned by lp) first, then install both the LPD and CUPS drivers
- Install the brscan4 drivers
- Copy scanner drivers from /usr/lib64/sane/ to /usr/lib/sane/
- Configure a network scanner using:
- brsaneconfig2 -a name=MFC-9970CDW model=MFC-9970CDW ip=192.168.0.150
- You can configure hardware scans to automatically go to Linux via brscan-key and scan-key-tool
